Sonia is a two-time Emmy award-winning journalist, national TV wellness contributor and seasoned yoga and meditation instructor based in Dallas, TX.

With masterful talent for creating communities in-person and online, Sonia’s leadership– from TV studios to Yoga studios– is always for the mutual benefit of the collective.

Credentialed by Yoga Alliance, (E-RYT) and a Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) Sonia offers a unique blend of science and spirituality in her classes. 

From learning the basics of breath work, to the science that makes meditation so beneficial, Sonia's retreats are more than just a typical series of yoga classes. They are workshops that teach you how to live fully awake and meet your highest potential. 

Sonia is a Vipassana meditation practitioner and has completed coursework in: Yin yoga, anatomy and study of fascia, and sound healing. She is trained in 23 lineages of meditation and often incorporates appropriate breath work (pranayama) and meditation into every yoga (asana) class. 

Sonia began leading retreats in 2016. Her practical approach to yoga and general wellness makes her retreats accessible to all bodies, ages and experience levels.

DO I HAVE TO BE GOOD AT YOGA TO ATTEND? 

All classes and experiences are guided and geared toward all levels. Sonia's retreats are accessible to all levels, ages,  and bodies. This is an unpretentious, intentional and open-minded group setting. 

what should i pack? 

Yoga mats and props are provided. 

Please bring:

  • Warm layers for cold nights
  • Clothing for movement and time outdoors
  • Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses
  • Walking shoes
  • Headlamp/flashlight
  • Water bottle
  • Journal

which airport should i fly into? 

St. George, Utah or Las Vegas! 

 

Springdale is located at the south entrance of Zion National Park, about an hour from the St. George, Utah airport and less than three hours from the Las Vegas, Nevada airport. 

From St. George, Utah:

St. George Shuttle offers regular shuttle service:  https://www.stgshuttle.com/ 
 

It is also an option to rent a car at the airport. 

From Las Vegas, Nevada:
If you rent a car, you’ll travel on I-15 to just north of St. George, Utah, where you’ll exit on SR-9 and follow the highway to the town of Springdale, Utah.

*Please note that Las Vegas is one time zone ahead of Springdale, UT. 

How many people will be attending?

A maximum of 25 attendees. This will allow for personalized training as we work through the value packed agenda.

Your deposit is non-refundable.

Full balance is due AUGUST 1, 2026.

If weather or other circumstances forbid your personal arrival, I cannot offer refunds unless you or I can refill your space.
